BEASTLY25 Explorer Update

The BEASTLY team has been hard at work planning how best to include Explorers in this year’s event, and we’re thrilled to share some exciting updates with you!

Not familiar with BEASTLY? If you haven’t experienced BEASTLY before, you’re in for a treat! This action-packed day offers over 80 incredible activities, including adventurous challenges like a Caving Simulator and Axe Throwing, plus unique experiences like Inflatable Subbuteo, Zorb Football, VR Gaming, Crafts, and traditional camp skills. There’s truly something for everyone! BEASTLY25 is taking place on Saturday 17th May 2025, at Dummer Down Farm.

Explorer Volunteering – A New Approach
In previous years, Explorer volunteers helped run the event but missed out on enjoying the activities themselves. This year, we’ve changed that!

You’ll now be on a half-day rota, spending half the day volunteering and the other half exploring and enjoying BEASTLY’s amazing activities.

If you’re attending as a Young Leader with Beavers or Squirrels, please coordinate with your Section Leader to arrange appropriate cover.

Social Evening & Overnight Stay
We’re excited to confirm that Explorers can now join the Social Evening and Overnight Stay even if they’re not accompanied by parents or guardians. We’ve arranged for a dedicated leader to oversee the group.

The social evening has live music, and a campfire. The event will be run in-line with Green Card (Scouting and alcohol).

If you volunteer during the day, there’s no charge to stay overnight, and your evening meal and breakfast on Sunday are included. In return, we ask for your help with packing up the site on Sunday morning, which will finish by 12:00.

If you can’t volunteer during the day but still want to join the fun, you can attend the Social Evening and Overnight Stay for a fee of £10.
