It’s that time again – planning for BEASTLY27 is underway, and we’re looking for brilliant people to join the team! Whether you’ve helped before or this is your first time getting involved, there’s a role for everyone. If you’re up for some fun, teamwork, and helping make the magic happen for hundreds of young people, take a look at our vacancies below and get involved!

 

We’re currently recruitng for our Core Team, these are the people who help plan and deliver BEASTLY. We’ll be opening Team Member Roles in late 2026 and early 2027.

Core Team Roles

These roles form the heart of BEASTLY. Core Team members are heavily involved in both the planning and delivery of the event and often take the lead in organising their own teams.

These roles are currently open for applications and closes on 13th July 2026.

Specific Team Member Roles

These roles focus on being part of a specific team, such as Zone Support, Security, Catering, and more. While these roles won’t require as much involvement in the overall event planning, team leaders may involve you in preparing and coordinating to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day.

These roles will be advertised in late 2026 once the Core Team has been assembled.

Registartion for all other volunteers will be open in early 2027.

Core Team Roles

Zone Lead

Active, Adrenaline, Everyday Adventure, Creative and Engagement

The Zone Leads are responsible for managing a specific zone at the event. This individual ensures that all activities within their zone are planned, executed efficiently and safely, providing a positive experience for attendees.

Deputy Zone Lead

Active, Adrenaline, Everyday Adventure, Creative and Engagement

The Deputy Zone Leads will work with the Zone Lead and be responsible for managing a specific zone at the event. Ensuring that all activities within their zone are planned, executed efficiently and safely, providing a positive experience for attendees.

Deputy Event Lead

The Deputy Event Lead supports the Event Leads in the planning, coordination, and delivery of the event. Acting as a deputy to the Event Leads, they help oversee all aspects of event preparation and delivery, provide leadership to the wider event team, and support incident management and decision-making during the event.

Target Sports Lead

Adrenaline

The Target Sports Lead will work with the the Adrenaline team to ensure adeqarate target sports are within the Zone. Ensuring that all activities within their zone are planned, executed efficiently and safely, providing a positive experience for attendees.

Under 18 Rep

Basingstoke Girlguiding, Basingstoke East Scouts, and Basingstoke West Scouts

The Under 18 Rep represents the interests and needs of attendees under the age of 18 of their own organisation (Basingstoke East Scouts, Basingstoke West Scouts or Girlguiding). This person ensures that activities and event logistics are appropriate and engaging for younger participants.

Programme Lead

The Programme Lead will support all programme zones, helping them work together effectively and consistently. They will encourage the sharing of good practice, resources, and contacts, ensuring a unified and high-quality experience for all participants.

Participant Support Lead

The Participant Support Lead acts as the main contact for participants during the event, providing support and resolving issues. They also manage the Participant Support Team volunteers who assist young people throughout the day.

Volunteer Support Lead

The Volunteer Support Lead will be based at the Event Hub and act as the main point of contact for all volunteers on the day. They will help answer queries, solve problems, and work with the Hub team to log and ticket any issues that need follow-up.

14 to 18 Volunteer Support Lead

The 14 to 18 Volunteer Support Lead is responsible for looking after the Explorers/Rangers who form part of the BEASTLY volunteer team.

Site Support Lead

The Site Support Team Lead works closely with the Event Leads and Infrastructure Team to ensure the event runs smoothly. They will build and manage a team to handle on-the-day site support, including regular checks and responding to tasks as they arise.

Stage & Entertainment Lead

The Stage / Entertainment Lead is responsible for coordinating all stage activities and entertainment acts. This individual ensures that performances run smoothly and engage the audience effectively.

Stage & Entertainment Deputy Lead

The Stage / Entertainment Deputy Lead is responsible for working with the Lead to coordinate all stage activities and entertainment acts. This individual ensures that performances run smoothly and engage the audience effectively.

Welcome Team Lead

The Welcome Team Lead is responsible for managing the entrance and exit points for participants and volunteers. They will ensure smooth check-in on the event day and provide a welcome/check-in service for volunteers arriving on Friday.

Retail Lead

The Retail Lead is responsible for overseeing the event shop. They will work with the Event Leads to source and order stock, then build and manage a team to set up and run the shop on the day.

Build Project Manager

The Build Project Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating the event build. Working closely with the Event Leads and Infrastructure Team, they will create and manage a clear task list to guide volunteers during the build. They will also gather and prioritise build requests from other teams to ensure everything is included in the plan.

Inclusion Lead

The Inclusion Lead will work across the event to ensure it is as inclusive as possible for both participants and volunteers. They will build a team and develop resources to ensure the Inclusion Hub is fully equipped to operate effectively on the day. They will also work closely with the Core Team to review the event plans and help ensure inclusion is embedded throughout.

Catering Lead

The Catering Lead is responsible for planning and delivering catering for the event. This includes creating the menu for the main event day, organising food for the pre-build team, and building a team to help deliver it all.

Security Lead

The Security Lead is responsible for keeping the event site secure and safe. This includes managing gate access, preventing unauthorised entry to restricted areas, and providing stewarding support during arena events. They will work closely with the Event Lead and Safety Lead to ensure compliance with Martyn’s Law and current security guidance.

Safety Lead

The Safety Lead is responsible for ensuring all aspects of the event are delivered safely. This includes reviewing and adapting policies, overseeing the main event risk assessment, and working with Event Leads to review and sign off activity and zone risk assessments.

Infrastructure Lead

The Infrastructure Lead is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of the event infrastructure. Working closely with the Event Leads and Build Project Manager, they ensure all site infrastructure is designed, delivered, maintained, and dismantled safely and effectively to support the successful operation of the event.

Communications Lead

The Communications Lead is responsible for planning, creating, and managing all event communications. This includes working with the Event Leads to ensure clear, timely, and engaging communications are delivered before, during, and after the event across a range of channels, including social media.

Guest Host Lead

The Guest Host Lead is responsible for managing the event’s guests and VIP visitors. This includes working with the Event Leads to coordinate engagement with ambassadors, sponsors, local politicians, and other invited guests, ensuring they have a positive and well-organised experience before, during, and after the event.
